XVision [Earth Vision Software, Inc.]

An X Window System server for PCs, XVision is a DOS program that extendsMicrosoft Windows to display UNIX X Window System applications. Unliketypical terminal emulators, XVision allows DOS and X Window Systemapplications to be displayed on the same screen simultaneously. XVisiondisplays up to 256 colors and works with X11R3 and R4.XVision, a high-speed X server, is an inexpensive alternative to costly Xterminals. With it, UNIX and DOS applications windows can be displayedsimultaneously on the same icon-based desktop. A PC user just points-and-clicks to get full access to networked UNIX resources, including UNIX XWindow System programs as well as electronic mail, databases, and othertraditional character-based UNIX applications.
